My special expertise lies in neurological physiotherapy, in which I have nearly 20 years of experience. I am particularly passionate about rehabilitation after stroke and spinal cord injuries, as well as rehabilitation for people with multiple sclerosis (MS). I also have experience in rehabilitation following tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) and in working with people with rarer neurological diagnoses.
My work is based on each client’s individual goals, functional abilities and circumstances. Therapy is active and goal-oriented, with a focus on improving mobility and everyday functioning. I am trained as a Bobath therapist and use principles from the Bobath concept alongside other methods in neurological physiotherapy. My approach is based on current knowledge of movement, motor learning, and the plasticity of the brain and spinal cord – that is, the nervous system’s ability to change and adapt.
I graduated as a physiotherapist from Arcada in 2007. Since then, I have completed the Bobath basic course, several advanced-level continuing education courses, and specialist training in neurological rehabilitation. In addition, I have attended several shorter courses in neurological physiotherapy and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I regularly update my skills in order to keep my knowledge current and follow the latest developments in the field.
I also offer musculoskeletal physiotherapy, physiotherapy for older adults, and home visits. Would you like to book a home visit? Please feel free to contact me by email or leave a message, and I will call you back.
A warm welcome!
